Outfit Details:
♥ Black sweatpants- Costco
♥ Ruched grey t-shirt- thrifted
♥ Green tie neck cardigan- thrifted
♥ Black trainers- thrifted
♥ Chandelier earrings- thrifted
Outfit Notes:
This outfit was the kick-off to my 30 for 30 challenge, and even I will admit that it lacks a bit of pizazz and excitement (don't worry, they get a lot better!) but my family was spending the day cleaning and getting our front garden ready for winter, so a pencil skirt wasn't exactly practical.
Taking these photos reminded me of something else: sweatpants are not flattering. I'm relatively thin (about a size 4-6 in Canada, for trousers), and I was hard pressed to find a photo that didn't make me look larger then I am, disproportionate, or just plain bad. I do, however, really like that t-shirt, it's a fantastic layering piece, so you'll probably be seeing it make many additional appearances.
Outfit Details:
♥ Mustard top- thrifted
♥ Dark wash jeans- thrifted
♥ Black trainers- thrifted
♥ Green pashmina- Covent Garden
♥ Cocktail ring (not visible)- thrifted
Outfit Notes:
I happen to be amazingly fond of this outfit. It's really difficult for me to find any shade of yellow that doesn't make me look hideously ill, so this thrifted yellow top was a godsend. I love the colour yellow (I mean, it's the colour of my walls!) so it's nice to finally find a colour that looks good on me.
I also really like these jeans- they're comfortable, worn in, dark wash, and thrifted, which is basically everything I look for in a trouser. The green pashmina with with the yellow top make a complementary colour scheme, and I really like the way it turned out.
This is the outfit I wore to go to the Girl Guide bazaar. I meant to pop in quickly, purchase a few bags of candy floss, and leave to walk home. However, I ended up in a two hour conversation with some old friends of mine! Oops......
Like the jazz hands? I thought so.
Outfit Details:
♥ Teal top- H&M
♥ Grey wool skirt- thrifted
♥ Black ribbed tights- Canadian Superstore
♥ Black high heels- New Look
♥ Dark and light grey long wrap cardigan- thrifted
♥ Orange beaded bracelet- handmade
♥ Red flower earrings- handmade
Outfit Notes:
I love, love, love, love, love this outfit! Seriously, I really love it. Usually I feel like this skirt makes my hips look too big (and I do have rather big hips, but that's beside the point), but I actually love how it looks here. I also love how my calves look- all that Irish Dance must be working!
The above picture is me trying to do a "model" pose (note to self: get day job). Which is sort of bizarre looking, but hey, at least I tried! The heels I'm wearing are just high enough for me to feel fabulous, but not in pain. Which is exactly what I want from a high heeled shoe. I love the color of the top, because I think the rich, jewel tone teal is a great color. I love my idea to tuck in the cardigan, so it doesn't overpower the skirt.
Also, this skirt makes my legs look approximately a quatrillion miles long- LOVE! All right, I'll stop gushing about this outfit now. It made me feel great, and I think it made me look pretty great as well.
The bracelet and earrings, though not as noticeable in the photographs, are orange-red colours. This is to create a complimentary color scheme with the blue-green shirt.
I'm really looking forward to doing the rest of my challenge. One question- would you prefer daily outfit posts to the big block of outfits in a post like this? Or do you like this way? Please let me know, so I can serve you better.
♥ Luinae

Lovee it! I agree, sweatpants can be unflattering, but you look ah-mazing in those jeans and skirt!
I think a big block of outfit photos like this would be nice =)! I love how your blog is full of so many different things, and I hope it doesn't become one of those blogs where every post is a singular outfit photo. I lovee seeing your style, but I really love your other posts, too!
Keep it up, girlie!
Jazz hands! Haha and I love your skirt in the last outfit, so wonderful!
Gorgeous girl! Outfits #2 and #3 are my favorites. I quite like this block of outfits post - it's different and fun :)
